onigiri stories: help yourself

I went to see the movie “Kamome-Diner” in the morning on Sunday. it’s a story about a small Japanese eating-house on a street corner in Helsinki, Finland. their visual footage of japanese food is PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL, which makes me droooooool and too hard to stop my stomach growling during the whole film.

no sooner the film was over than I jumped on my car and drove back home, and made onigiri =japanese rice balls as many as I could. here, my onigiris are a kind of funny-looking (don’t blame me! I know that I’m clumsy), not as tempting as I saw in the movie but- anyway. why not have a bite !????

the fillings

Many people sprinkle salt on the surface of onigiri before wrapping it with nori, instead of spreading soy sauce like I do. This is just personal preference, either works fine.

I *always* spread soy sauce instead of salt though! It’s my home tradition!:D

So now, show me your onigiri please!!
